We attempting to begin an Alumni Association for our facility. The Orange County facility has been in existence since 1979 (adult program) and 1982 (adolescent program). We now have enough program graduates to make a difference. After many conversations with Alumni at our events and Alumni that just stop in from time to time, it's always talked about like a great idea. So here we are.....

The Alumni that are currently working as staff members put together a reunion party in November of 1999. We worked very diligently for about two months trying to track people down. When the day arrived, we had a great time! It was wonderful to see a lot of old faces (no pun intended), from both the adult and adolescent programs. We even had a few Counselors from years past who came by to say 'hi'. It was a daunting task and we didn't get everyone that needed to be invited located. We took names, addresses, and e-mail addy's from as many as possible. I am sending out e-mail letters to everyone that I have on the list so far. If you are an Alumni, and know the location of other Alumni's, please contact them and tell them about this site, so they can send in their information to me.  I'm going with the concept that pyramid schemes use...Tell a friend and this thing should grow!

Please use the Discussion Forum linked here to talk about ideas for the Alumni Association. I'm also including a link for the Alumni list that have been located so far and who still needs to be found. I'd like to organize an event for us to get together in the Fall (2001), maybe in October? If anyone has ideas for it let me know. Another idea is to have a Directory of Alumni's and where they work, like a Yellow Pages where we could network our businesses. I plan to have a news page to update Alumni on the Current Events that are happening at the facility and any needs for donations, etc..
